Some updates

Hey guys,

As you all know, this blog is dying, and we're slowly become inactive. I do have plans to shut down the scanlation group, but after hearing Chrissu, one of our translators, say that she would like to continue working on some projects despite her busy schedule and slow release, I've decided to leave this be for the time being. We will be releasing Danshi-ing Garu, once it's been translated by Chrissu, who pass the translations to me this weekend. As for Monochrome Shounen Shoujo, we're still unsure. It's tentatively still on our "current projects", but if any group picks it up, we'd be willing to give it up.

For now, we will only be focusing on Danshi-ing Garu because there's only 4 chapters so it's easier to manage. As for L-DK, we will no longer scanlate this given that there are groups out there who have offered to pick this project up and we feel that they are more efficient than us hence our decision.

Hey peeps,

Yay! Finally another release. Sorry that we've been MIA for so long. Well, we've all embarked on our college life and it's really starting to catch up with us. It's so much more hectic now and we're always so busy with school and our extra curricular activites.

The only reason why there's even a release today is because we're having our March break which is only a week long, so yeah, it'll be back to crazy school life again. But we'll try our best and do as much as possible. Next release will be Danshi-ing Garu.

Note: Some of the translations may be a bit odd alright?

最近我们都刚刚才重新上学，所以会比较忙，没什么工作，希望大家都不太介意哦。非常可惜，Aoijun她已到澳洲去读书了。虽然本人不在我国，可是她还是会在澳洲为BlackLilac付出的。祝她一切顺利，听说她在那里适应得还不错，所以听了也放心些：D 还有因为比较忙，没有办法祝贺我们的Graphics Designer, Pikatic, 个生日快乐，我这个President还是失败呢！

Introducing some new staff that joined us recently.

Orochi is our L-DK proof-reader. She has also volunteered to provide raws for this series:)

Poppy is from USA and she will be working on Monochrome Shounen Shoujo as our typesetter:)

Akira will be working as a temporary staff as our cleaner. Her projects will be confirmed.

With regards to L-DK

Dear all,

I'd like address the issue with regards to L-DK.

Firstly, it's extremely unfair that people are condemning us just because "blacklilac would still LIKE to scanlate every chapter(of L-DK)". What's the problem with wanting to finish what we had started on?

Next, you DON'T have to SPAM our tagboard with the same message like 8 times! We get the point, Lol.

Anyways, we have spoken to Bebexiu again. This time asking them if they'd like to scanlate L-DK according to their proposal. Why are we doing that? Not because we are guilty or anything, alright, but because we understand our limits at translation. We only have 2 translator hence the slow release and stuff. You might say that other people work on so many projects and are not much different from us but more efficient, but look, that's THEM, NOT US, alright. Each team adopts different policies! Furthermore, please bear in mind that scanlation teams are made up of humans and not robots.

Sadly, we have never wanted to appear the way our detractors are currently viewing us as but oh well...

We're currently awaiting response from Bebexiu.

New Layout + Mistake

Hi there!

I've modified this layout to fit our page. I can now breathe a sigh of relief because I seriously hated the other one (which I also did).

Also, a few people may have seen that I placed Monochrome Shounen Shoujo under the 'Dropped' category. However, I have since rectified the mistake. I believe that my crossed-eyes must have mixed that up with Love Sick. As Carette mentioned, Love Sick has been dropped. BlackLilac is, therefore, still doing Monochrome Shounen Shoujo.

Hey everyone,

It's the long-awaited release! L-DK 06 is finally out! A big thank you to our new international staffer, Orochi, for proof-reading and correcting some of the translation mistakes that Hiro had made(more like because we couldn't really read her handwriting hence there were some errors in the soft copy). Pikatic's still not exactly done with the banners yet but I promise that we'll do a proper welcome for Orochi as well as for our other new international staff, Poppy.

We will also be releasing the RAW for Hana to Akuma 55(it's a rather big file because it's all in .png format so please be patient with it:D). MSS 02 will be the next on our release list. We are also officially dropping Love Sick because of the fact that another more efficient scanlation group has picked it up.

WE'RE BACK!

Hey guys,

WE'RE BACK! Yes, exams are finally over(for everyone except Hiro[translator for L-DK] whose exam ends on Monday] and now we're back and ready to roll. I don't really feel confident about the papers at all because I screwed English, Humanities and Physics up so badly. BUT ANYWAYS, I'll just see how it goes and wait till January when the results will be out.

We're currently working on Monochrome Shounen Shoujo chapter 02. Hopefully I'll be able to release it like next week or next next week. I know Teppen! 08 is long overdue. Our translator is currently overseas and will only be back next week so I can only get the translations from her then. I promise that it'll be out ASAP since we will have lots of free time now to work on it.

L-DK will be out soon too. Shuu SHOULD be done by now I hope, so when I get it from her I'll do a release. Translations for the next L-DK won't be out that early. Hiro will be going overseas for a holiday(we all DESERVE a break after studying so hard) so I can only get her to work on it when she comes back...

I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME 2 NEW MEMBERS INTO OUR TEAM! One of them is Orochi and the other is Poppy. More information about them and a welcome banner for each of them will be up in the next post. Please do give them your support:D

Translations for L-DK 06 are out. Shuu and Oro(new staffer, will officially introduce her after our hiatus) are already working on it, so look forward to it. Oro will also be providing raws for Vol. 04:)

Clamzehh's working on Love Sick 02 now.

Chapter 02 for Monokuro Shounen Shoujo is on it's way to completion with regards to the translations. Chrissu has been relatively busy ever since she graduated from secondary school and moved on to pre-u. She'll get it done by the time we end hiatus.

Some updates~

It's been sometime since we last released so here's a quick update on our progress.

1. Teppen! is close to completion with regards to the translation. Our junior translator had some problems with the series hence the delay. I hope to be able to pass it on to Mizuki Scans by the end of this month.

2. L-DK 06 is also close to completion with regards to translation. We hope to be able to get the chapter out by the time we get back from hiatus.

3. Love Sick will be released in 2 versions mainly due to the fact that translations are incomplete. Kelly is unable to fully translate chapter 02 because she's preparing for her prelims. Clamzehh will be typesetting this and if possible, we might release v1. this month if not next.

If you had read the post carefully, we are going on a hiatus. We will be away for 2 months to concentrate on our major exams. We will be back prolly in November after our last paper on the 8th. We will work doubly hard when we get back, that we promise!

That's about it. I will do another blog post once we hand over the translations for Teppen! 08 to Mizuki Scans for typesetting.

BlackLilac Scans turns 1! BlackLilac Scans was established on 9th July 2009, just last year.

While in Blacklilac, I managed to meet really nice and hardworking people, all ready to help those who want their mangas! It was, and still is, very enjoyable to work with them to grant others' desires for the manga chapters. I really hope (and know xD) that I'll continue to have such fun in the group ;D

It's been a year! Time passes very fast and I have to say that working as a team with BlackLilac to release wonderful mangas has been a really joyous time for me. My stint in translation and colouring some pictures, though weird and short-lived, proved to be fun. I've enjoyed cleaning and typesetting pages even though most of the time I find it very tedious. The members of BlackLilac are really great to work with and I hope we can continue working together. Please look forward to the many more lovely chapters in the future!

We really apologise for this super late banner because all the staffers, except Chrissu and Shuu, were having exams.

Chrissu and Hiro are BlackLilac's most prized possessions because they are our only regular Japanese to English translators. Most of BlackLilac's works are translated by them.

In order to protect our rights, our representative from TheEvilEmpire, staffer Aine will be migrating all our uploads onto another account. Teppen!
I have been receiving a couple of emails inquiring about Teppen! I am glad to say that BlackLilac has given up waiting for the Chinese scans and I'll be ripping my own book to scan Teppen! 08 and the extras. These 2 "chapters" will be done as a joint project with Mizuki Scans(a new scanlation group) . I hope that all Teppen! fans are happy at this news.

Yup, so that's about it. Check back again in a couple of days for our next release, Senzoku.

Everyone enjoying Labour Day?Well, here's a 10051 doujin. This was done by Aoijun(despite the fact that she was not so very good at Chinese, she still gave it a try and did a great job), proof-read by smileytroops and myself. Raws are from a baidu site that Pikatic chanced upon.

L-DK 02

I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is...I can't release Danshi-ing Garu. This is because I just realized that the chapter I scanned(from Hana to Yume magazine) is actually not the first chapter! Yes I know, I'm such a dumb-ass.

BUT BUT BUT, the good news is, L-DK 02 will be released instead. Since BlackLilac did not release anything in the month of March, you'll be getting 2 releases from us this April. However, as to when the series will be released and what will be released, it's still unconfirmed, so check back again in Week 2 or 3. We'd also like to introduce our first international member! She's Shuu and she's from Canada! She's working as our editor/cleaner/typesetter. She's currently working on projects like L-DK and Senzoku:)

Also, I finally bought L-DK Vol. 03 and Danshi-ing Garu, so it should be scanned and translated pretty soon.

Finally, please do thank our dearest translators, Kelly and Hiro, for taking time off from studying(we had mock exams) to translate this for you.

Today, BlackLilac brings you a double release!

Chapter 05 concludes the series, Royal Fiance, by Asuma Risai and Kamon Saeko sensei. We had a great time working on this series, though only two chapters, but we hope that you enjoyed it too. We'd like to also thank BlackLullaby for providing us with the HQ raws.

As requested by one of our readers, here's chapter 30 of Hadashi de Bara wo Fume. Note that we did not scanlate this due to the quality of the raws. However, in the .zip folder, there is a translation and a copy of the LQ scans for reference. Scans are from 17trang30.

Also as requested, here's a summary of the chapter:

A rather surprising person has decided to join Souichirou’s company in an effort to turn over a new leaf! Hey guys,

Here's the Chapter 08 scans/raws for Seiyuu Ka-! by Minami Maki sensei. I decided to share this since I recently bought the Hana to Yume magazine for BlackLilac. BlackLilac isn't going to pick this up for it's currently being done by Irhene Gakuen Community, and also since we've currently got enough projects at hand.

It's the first time I scanned a manga, so please pardon me if the quality's not that good. It was also rather hard trying to clean it since I was using paint.net instead of adobe photoshop(cause mine crashed). Please do not steal our scans. Hey guys,

Here's chapter 29 of Hadashi de Bara wo Fume.

It was a rather abrupt decision to do this chapter, and I only agreed because I was constantly bugged by Aoijun&Smileytroops, so here you go!. Please do note that BlackLilac only did this chapter for pleasure (more like to satisfy Aoijun&Smileytroops) and definitely have no intention in competing with Kyosui Moon. Please do continue to support their Hadashi works! I apologise if there's any mistakes with translations/names because we worked on Chinese scans for this one, so yeah, the translation may not be as accurate.

In this chapter, Souichirou and Sumi discover the place Komai has been taking refuge in. Meanwhile, Keiko has gathered all evidence on Sumi's upbringing. Nozomu has been indulging in painting with one that is shocking. More surprises await! Read this chapter to find out what else happens!

I'm really sorry to say that we are unable to reopen the download link for You're my treasure[D18] for public downloading. We would like to apologize for not realizing that the scans were actually Doufutuan's since we got it from the LJ community. As such, to protect the interests of both parties, we will not be opening the link for public downloading.

However, BlackLilac understands the fact that there are many who wish to read this doujinshi in English (since they can't read it in Japanese/Chinese/other languages), as such we will be opening the link for private downloading only. If you wish to download the manga, please leave us a pm at our email, blacklilac-scans@live.com . (We will pass you the link and the password to download). Hey people,

Here's our first Doujinshi release. It's a KHR pairing of Dino and Hibari (D18).

Uhm, just a short summary?
Well, in this doujinshi, Hibari is transformed to a really young kid (like 3 or 4) because he was stung by a poisonous mosquito, as such he is unable to recover to be like normal within the next 2-3 months. In the meantime, he's being looked after by Dino. So how exactly did Dino "take care" of him?

*It's nothing too smutty. Very mild and nothing too explicit*

BlackLilac-Scans bring you yet another new and awesome release....Teppen! 06! Well, in this chapter...something happens! (good or bad, I'm not saying...*kudos to those that can guess the tune* Download and read them!) I apologize for any inaccurate translation/weird translation(it was weird from the very beginning, and I tried my best...) and any blank bits (because they were originally blank in the Chinese raws)

As you can see on the sidebar, there's a new feature. That is the advertisement section. The advertisements and polls are hosted by nuffnang, and it helps us in a way earn a little extra money (which will be used to buy the raws and all), so if you see any advertisements, just take a second or two to check these them out. Oh, please do our poll too. Thank you.

Sorry for being out of action for quite some time. Common Test just ended and it seems like finals are in less than a months' time, so all of us are going to be REALLY busy. Teppen! Chapter 04

Hey all,

We're a new scanlation team called Black Lilac. We are a group consisting of 10 members. We're currently working on mangas such as Teppen! and You're my treasure(doujinshi). We're accepting manga requests, be it old/new/dropped. We're fine with doing most genres of manga though we're looking out for shoujo/romance type or even shounen-ai/yaoi kind.
